Mary, you are a buildaholic, and you have given me an idea for a t-shirt "buildaholic anyonomous"  LOL!  I love your Lydia bed, it's so pretty, and I am with you, a hammer is better than any therapy session!

You see a few months ago I found this blog, and since then we have built 3 beds, 2 nightstands, 1 console, 1 dining table, 4 benches, 1 coffee table, 1 cubby shelf, 1 book shelf, 1 closet thing, and a desk, oh and a step stool that is a b@$t%)d project that tried to kill me 3 times and now lives in in the garage and I glare at it.  I may have a problem.  We have recycled some old stuff into new ( the dining table and it's benches), we have gifted old stuff to make room for new, and have sold some and are still building off the wood we  bought with that money.  To date we have used approx. 15#s of screws.  BUT, I am happy, I am a creative person and my office management job is frustrating and it is so nice to cut, pound and screw things into submission.  I'm happy when my son is so proud of his room he wants to keep it clean, when my hubby explains that I built it, when I show off the photos of what I did this weekend and my co workers insist it must have been "assembled" not built.

Our family of 5 lives in the Aloha state, we have 2 labs, and own and operate our business.

My name is Mary Jo and I'm a buildiholic

"Hi, Mary Jo!"

My name is Beth, and I'm addicted. It's been...*sob* 8 minutes since I've been working on a KOW project. As I sit at the computer with my tool belt on, double checking my cut list for my current project, I thought I'd check in with other buildaholics for support.

 Nice to meet you! Laugh

Hello, this is Carrie and I'm getting the shakes because I haven't worked on my project in 4 days!  I've been sick in bed.

Should we assign buildaholics numbers?

:)

I think the most important thing to do is to remind yourself that ...what am I thinking all you need to do is go funiture shopping and you'll get all the refocus you could need.  We had an accident friday and the bowl of the pedistol sink in the most used bathroom  broke!  Ack so I go to the plan catalog to do some furniture shopping, there I find a lovely unit which according to the orange/blue website is going to cost me less then $50,  but then doubt creeps in, my folks were coming up for dinner, wouldn't be easier to just but something and get it installed in time?? Heck NO the cheapest one is 199 a fabulous pressed board heap with mavelous wood print exterior.  So yesterday we started a awesome custom built  of hardwood vanity which will have a granite countertop, custom intergrated stepstool.
