Modified Sneaky Storage Desk and Wall Cubby "Clostraption"

The new baby gets my office, so I am being forced to claim closet space as my workspace.  Here are the storage solution "contraptions" that have been slammed into closet-sized modules.

The pictures are of the sneaky storage desk (sans front doors on the legs for now) but with a backend storage compartment with hinged top to accomodate a sewing machine.

Very cool. I like how the desk half opens in back and front flips down. That must be a pretty decent size closet you have there :)

Thanks!  So far functionality is king.  Asthetically they'll get there someday.  ;-)

Sadly I was foiled by math and the backend storage unit was just 1/2" too shallow for the sewing machine to fit.  Ah well...next time!

The closet was/is 24" wide, so although not increadibly deep, gives some good useable space.

I'm increadibly addicted to this site and just LOVE everyone's projects!

Maybe you can cut out a spot under the machine to let the feet stick through or if there is a portion of the machine that is narrower that could sit lower?  I think I'd be finding some way to make it work in there after making such a neat desk!

Yeah, there's got to be some kind of way to get that sewing machine in there...  Just a half-inch?  You can make it happen!

So, I've decided not to put the machine in there afterall.  It makes for a GREAT storage space for fabric instead!  Thanks for the encouragement and ideas.
