I have two girls that share a room and both ( okay, all of us) are obsessed with this bed! Would it be possible to make two of these in a "corner unit" with the stairs being in the corner???? I know...I'm not asking for much lol
One of the issues with the stairs in the corner is there would be now way to access the stairs from the front . . . What I would more suggest is building one with stairs, but two openings on each side of the stair platform, instead of just one. Then build a second bed but build the ends both closed and make the opening to the stairs on the front. Like this . . .
And YAY! The window fits perfectly . . . so you could do a secret passage under the stairs from house to house . . . and then the door where the ladder was
Or this way would be the easiest with the least amount of mods. Good luck!
In the second example, would you just make the left side of the stairs match the right side so both would have openings there?
What about a combination of two like this but with the bookshelves/desk options? Maybe even features of the Lydia/Chelsea bed? I'm trying to figure out how you would combine the stairs plan with the loft plan and make it with more of an 'older girl' look?
I'm afraid by the time we have a room to put them in, at least one of my girls will have outgrown the playhouse sides and want bookshelves/desks but I LOVE the storage stairs!
my girls just peered over my shoulder and saw these and now want the first version! lol! we are planning on making these beds [they share a room since i gave birth to their baby brother 7 weeks ago] and are each getting a playhouse bed...now they want this one haha!
Is the plan for the playhouse bed for two still available? I found it on pinterest and it links me back to this site, but I do not see it in the plans?

Mamajoy ... in the second example, the railings need to be change so both bunks have access from the top of the stairs.
The gap on the short side (of the left-most module) would be closed off for safety, and it could have a door opening replacing one of the windows.
