This is my second project that I've built with Ana and the first that I've attempted to modify. This project went A LOT smoother than the first one and I am so very happy with the results! I was pretty nervous about trying to modify the legs on these leaning shelves, but it went much better than I anticipated. I blogged about the building process of these shelves over nine posts, but this is the reveal post. If you want to read the other posts about these shelves, there is a "leaning shelves" category that will bring them up.
I used General Finishes espresso stain on the advice of nickybecky from this community--thank you so much nickybecky if you read this!! LOVED the stain and poly (High Performance water-based poly from General Finishes). So easy to work with and almost zero smell! I had to search out a supplier, but it was so worth it.
Thanks to everyone who answered the questions I had after my first project. Sometimes I had to make myself ask them because it seemed nobody else was having the problems I was, but I learned a lot from your answers and that is what made this one so much better.
