About This Project

I used premium pine, but mostly scraps, only had to buy one piece!

My neighbors grand-daughter is about to turn 3 and I thought this would make a great present for her.. plus, when she saw it online while visiting me (I was checking the website as usual), she said "Oh, I NEED one of those!".  I laughed and then that night went out and checked my scrap pile to see if I had everything I needed to build it.

I only needed one 8' piece of 1x2 to complete it.. .everything else I had, so great!

About $10 with paint.

I love this, I am building my daughter a loft bed she will be three this summer, under the loft bed will be a play house, I am running rope lighting across the top to provide some light to play and read by. Inside their is going to be a small kitchen area with table and chairs plus she needs a high chair for all her babies. I hope to give her a baby bed for her baby and a small place to read. I may be trying to put too much in there though.
