That turned out gorgeous!!!! I'm so eager to build one for myself, but I've got other projects I've got to finish first. The buildies are definitely contagious!!!

I'm amazed at how much you

I'm amazed at how much you can fit in there! I've been eyeing this for a couple months, but was thinking it'd just be another piece of furniture in an already pretty busy house... Definitely moving up the list of must-do's now! Do you think both serger and sewing machine would fit?

Another idea

I love this style of table for cutting, but I found another idea on Craigslist that would be nice also. It is a dresser of the height you want your table at, with a drop leaf on the back of the dresser. Plan your height of table, and, add wheels to the legs of the dresser. Then add a nice big leaf to the back of the dresser with a swing out support for it. This would be reasonably priced if you search for a used dresser... use good plywood for the drop down leaf. I like the multi cored apple or maple. I think it is 1/2" thick. Very nice wood and would make a nice sewing table without the weight of using 3/4" plywood.

I want something more stable to sew on. I don't care if it stores away as my sewing room is a dedicated room. I am not happy with what I am using... it is a cabinet made by a company that is no longer in business. No label so I can't give a name. I would like a table with two pillars, one on each side with drawers on the shallow side. Deep just get filled and you have to dig for what you want.

I am even thinking of a table with legs cut off to the right height. Then, some rolling carts with drawers that fit under the table. Easy to move if need be.

My room is filled to overflowing. I am hoping I can organize it better. Realisically, I need to have a garage sale and sell some of my older fabrics. That will probably never happen!

Do think outside of the "box". I have upper cabinets on one wall. Love them. I also have two entertainment centers as they make good storage for projects and fabric. I added shelves where the tv normally is. Now I need boxes for those shelves that are made to fit the shelves and economize the space.

Where are the plans

I have tried to look up the plans for the sewing table and keep getting an access denied message. I think it is just a broken link.

Plans???

Go to the 'plans' page but where the plans should be is a big white space. Love the table but need the plans. Thanks!
