Beach Cottage Dresser
About This Project

Again I'm sorry I have no plans, but what I do have is a great instructional video. Drawer slides are such a pain to install without the right tools. I'm sure you can find great dresser plans but the kicker is how you install the drawers. These inexpensive drawer slide mounting tools might save you from going insane. Check them out. http://youtu.be/vI3jgkhxxPE

Fantastic Dresser

You make something that seems scary look doable and WORTH doing!

Can you tell us more about how you finished it? I definitely get the beachy vibe from it too!

finishing

the finish is very easy to do. first you paint the whole piece black. then you simply paint it again whatever color you want. after that you sand it lightly until the black shows through. easy stuff

Finish

Am I blind or stupid? Maybe both! I just can't find the video link for this dresser!

Could someone please point it out to me?

Maybe blind.. not stupid :-)

There isn't a video for the dresser, but the one that was posted was for how to mount the drawer slides (I just watched it - I NEED THAT TOOL!) http://youtu.be/vI3jgkhxxPE

I like the finish too. I want

I like the finish too. I want to do a pink undertone, and white dresser, for a toddlers room. I think I will. Hot pink underneath, and bright white on top. Oh yes :) Thanks for the inspiration.

Top Coat?

Hey Patrick... the finish sounds soooo easy and comes with a great look. Did you put any kind of poly or top coat on it? If you didn't, is it easy to clean and has it held up so far? Looks great and I'm getting ready to try it on a bed so I thought I'd check on that bit. Thanks!

top coat

I didn't use a top coat on this dresser. So far no problems but I've been putting clear coats on all the new stuff that goes through the shop. It's just all around better I think.
