What were the dimensions of your cubbies? Great job!
Margaret-I wear a size 6 1/2-7 shoe so I just measured what looked like a comfortable space for the shoes. My ridiculously high heels have to go on their sides to fit in and my running shoes are a tight squeeze. If I were to do it again, I would allow a little more room. The sandal size cubbies are 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" and the rest of my cubbies are 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Also, the picture doesn't show it but the side toe kicks are cut a 1/2" shorter so that the shelving looks like a built in by fitting snug against the wall and baseboard. Also, each shelf is attached to the vertical pieces under it but unattached to the shelf it is sitting on. That way, I can rearrange the closet and add more shelves if needed for more shoes...who couldn't do without a few more pairs of shoes?:) Good luck.
