Hi everyone! Are you all ready for a very special Father's Day weekend? Do you have plans to show Dad just how loved and appreciated he is?
The Ram lives in a house with no less than SEVEN women, and not one single other male. Lucky guy, eh?
Granted, four of those women live in the backyard and are supposed to be laying eggs, but even they appreciate the one man in our family. He is after all that guy who moves their coop and catches Scramble.
And being that the Ram is the strongest member of our family by far, we need him for everything. From protecting us from bears we KNOW are scratching on the tent, to opening pickle jars to moving crazy heavy furniture that we build without asking ourselves how we will move it - he's THE MAN of the house. And that's not just by default.
So for Father's Day this weekend - and every Father's Day we have ever celebrated - we are giving Dad a break from working on our projects and opening pickle jars and building Mom(s) a house and going fishing!
But if I could .... here's a few projects that I would love to be working on hehe from friends from around the country, that I know through blogging.
You get me.
I have always loved this tutorial by Layla from The Lettered Cottage. Layla also shows you step by step how to get that beautiful finish on new boards. Would be beautiful outdoors too!
I love these trays from Shanty 2 Chic! Wouldn't they be great at a wedding or bringing refreshments outdoors at a backyard party? Whitney shows you step by step how she gets an antique white paint finish on these trays too! Must read!
I met Kristen Duke at SNAP! What an amazing talented beautiful lady she is! Kristen snapped the photos of Grace and me on our Facebook header.
I love this desk Kristen and her husband made! It's so fun and whimsical! And for $50? Wow!
You probably have some plywood scraps laying around? Jaime from That's My Letter makes her own mudroom bins! Baskets and bins get sooo expensive - especially when you have to buy a bunch of them! Go make your own with Jaime's tutorial!
PS - I love all the mods she does with the mudroom bins too!
The amazing Karen at The Quaint Cottage built this beautiful vanity! She spent about $70 on the wood - quite a savings over the -uh - $1700 - Pottery Barn inspiration! Sorry, I had to gasp in there!
Karen is sharing her step by step plans as well! So definitely go check it out!
Have a great weekend!
