Ana, I feel like I'm there in Alaska with you but I'm sure the pictures don't do it justice! Thanks for sharing!

Ana, Not to be a stalker, but I am an Alaskan too and (inhabited) Alaska is a small place. I had a hunch it was your pretty purple coat I saw walking the spit in Homer a few weeks ago. Hope you had much fun as we did. Our kiddos are smaller and had their first taste of the sand and surf. Did you visit the park in Homer? It's pretty fantastic and there is a FAST slide down the hill!

Wow! That's awesome! We live near a regular beach and we hardly ever go. That looks like great fun! What was the temperature there that day?

I love birds (obviously), but I don't know about all those seagulls. Definitely would be feeling a Hitchcock moment coming on if I were on that beach. What cool shots you got of the birds in mid-flight! I think the Eagles are awesome too, you must have a real appreciation seeing our National bird up close and personal. I am loving seeing the beauty of Alaska through your perspective, 10x cooler than watching the travel channel!

Oh, Ana, a dream of mine is to see the incredible Eagle in the wild and no problem dealing with the gulls to do it! There is another clam on the eastern seaboard that we call a Razor Clam and it looks very different! No doubt they were tasty! As as avid shell collector, I have to ask, did you find any shells other than the clams?

No one can make me miss Alaska like you Ana with your pictures and words! Every time I read a post you've got me dreaming about the day we come back with our kids in tow so that we can show them how beautiful the state is and where their parents met back when we were in college (UAF)...in June or July. :)

Looking forward to seeing Homer...I once got to see the Spit filled with eagles. Absolutely beautiful.
