My husband and I would love to have the built in clamp! We have a very tiny kreg jig now and it's cumbersome at times to use a separate clamp while trying to secure the kreg jig.

I already own the master collection and love it. It makes building cabinets so much faster and easier, I already have all the tools to build them with dadoes and would rather use my kreg jigs. I would love try out the mini and HD jigs I'm sure I could think up or find quite a few projects to use these on. My building problem use to be not having enough time. Now my bank account can't keep up with my projects list and it is all thanks to my kreg jig. This would be a great Christmas present for me, I have been trying to get my wife to build something with the kreg.

We don't currently own any of the kreg jig products, but would love to have one. The ease of operation and the confidence it gives off to do home projects have made it a wish list topper for a while now. It's definitely something we'd like to invest in if we ever get the chance.

Kreg is great
I have the standard kreg jig tool, and it makes solid joints a piece of cake. The screw selection wheel would be a great addition, and kreg mini thingie would be very useful for those smaller jobs (picture frame repair, etc).
I did have to go out and buy a drill with a clutch, which proved surprisingly difficult (I prefer corded tools, as I am terrible about keeping batteries charged, and a corded drill with a clutch required making it an online purchase). Once I had that I just run a test screw into scrap wood of the same type before each project and set the clutch so that it drives it tight without stripping out the wood. From there it is painless and fast.

I can't decide which part is
I can't decide which part is better. The HD jig will probably be my new favorite, if we ever get around to remodeling. I have a bathroom and kitchen in mind for the addition we hope to add in the spring, and that set would be super-handy for all of the cabinetry I want to build.

Win big for the Boys!
I have secretly been wanting to buy this for about 2 years, and I've tried to convince my HUSBAND that he needs this & that I should get it for him for a birthday, father's day, any day gift just so I can get my hands on it. We NEED it (the standard probably) because our kitchen desparately needs a cabinet facelift. Our 1950's, plain, flat plywood doors are just plain UGLY. I want to make box frames to attach to the fronts for a Shaker style door. We could make them for next to nothing - just 1x2s, but to pay someone else just isn't an option.
The more fun reason I want the Mini Jig, is because our son could follow in his Grandfather's footsteps as a carpenter. He already loves to build things. He'll go to town with scraps of wood & some nails, rope, anything he can find. As a Cub Scout, every year he and my Husband spend a couple of weeks designing & building a mini race car for the annual Pinewood Derby. And my Husband gets very competitive - their cars WIN!

Hi Ana, like you, I am very passionate about DIYing furnitures, I made couple of plans and made them mostly from scrap woods and without powertools. When I finish a plan, It would just make me so happy and feel good about myself. All I have is a hammer and a hand saw, although I have a power drill, it's corded and it's not really useful for now because I use nails instead of screws for every woodjoints and everything else. Where I'm from (Philippines), the KREG JIG isn't really available and all hardware stores that I have been to don't even know what this super tool is. And here, DIYing is not really a trend. We don't even have a school for carpentry. But when I found your site, You've inspired me to continue my passion even though I have limited resources and tools. Most of my plans are "space-saving furnitures" and the KREG JIG is a perfect tool for all these. When time comes that I already proved my skills worthy and professional, like you, I plan to share my knowledge and skills locally, start a trend in DIYing. We are getting so close to the Holidays. Are you busy building gifts for friends and family? Handmade gifts really are the best!
Today, I have a gift for you! We don't do a whole lot of giveaways here just because I like to spend my time giving away plans, but this is one giveaway I could not resist sending your way.
It's no secret that I love my Kreg Jig, and on book tour, I was not the least bit surprised to find out that you love the Kreg Jig too! Many people told me that the Kreg Jig changed their lives. And I had to giggle and say, Me TOO! It really is all that!
For those of you who aren't familiar with the Kreg Jig, here's a little video I did a while back on it. NOTE: Please excuse the - uh, awkward - top in this video. Going turtleneck shopping today.
Here's the bottom line on the Kreg Jig. It enables you to build faster, easier, and straighter projects with less materials. And you can join projects edge to edge, and in many cases, hide all of your screw holes. I find the projects I build with pocket holes are just in general nicer projects. It's an investment that will serve you your entire life.
