Hello everyone,

i am a newbie here, and I really like to built my own furniture. So I want to pick an easiest plan to start, but i got a headache now, I don't understand the dimension of the cutting list. Would you like to tell me what do the numbers mean??

For example:

4 – 1×2 @ 10 1/2″ (Top and Bottom Shelf Supports)
3 – 1×2 @ 5″ (Top Shelf Supports)
2 – 1×2 @ 9″ (Bottom Shelf Supports)
3 – 1×3 @ 14″ (Top Shelf Boards)
5 – 1×3 @ 10 1/2″ (Bottom Shelf Boards)
2 – 1×3 @ 21″ (Back Legs, ends cut at 5 degrees off square, end parallel)
2 – 1×3 @ 22 1/4″ (Front Legs, ends cut at 20 degrees off square, ends parrallel)

------------

especially the numbers after the "@", I am from Asia, I am not familiar with the dimension. What does 10 1/2" mean? Is that 10 feet and 0.5 inch?

Thank you for clicking my post!

Ok here is a breakdown of the different numbers
EXAMPLE:
4 – 1×2 @ 10 1/2″ (Top and Bottom Shelf Supports)

4 - The number of pieces required
1 x 2 - The size of the lumber Most lumber is sold by dimension the actual size of the wood is less than the named size.
@ = At
10 1/2" - Ten and a half inches
one mark ( ' ) denotes feet
two marks ( " ) denotes inches

So the example would be read as:
Four pieces of 1 by 2 at ten and a half inches.
