Has anyone used butcher block slabs to build anything? I'm thinking of using a few of these from lumber liquidators to do my master closet. At 19.99 for 3/4 inch 4x8 I don't see a downside but am I missing something. Thanks
It's heavy, it's thick, it's hard to drill through, and it's expensive.
Where in the closet will you use it? Unless it's going to be prominently visible, 3/4 plywood or 1x12 boards is cost effective and plenty strong enough.
