Help With Doll House Bookcase

Ana, maybe you can help with this?

What size miter do you recommend for your projects? What do you use?

Potentially an overly basic question...but reading about miter saws, I see that their cutting capacity is smaller than what it seems to take for the doll house bookshelf. I had my eye on a Hitachi, compound 10", but it doesn't seem like the saw will be able to handle the 12" boards required for the project.

I can't currently afford to spend $400 on a 12" slider, but saving more in order to make that big purchase would be fine to do. But I'd love to someone to let me know more about the proper size suitable for a beginners workshop.

Please assist - thanks so much =)

I have a 10 inch miter saw. I make my cut flip the board over and line it up the best I can and cut again to make the cuts meet. If I am off a bit I just sand it down. Or an unsafe way....make you cut and keep the blade running lift the blade and board up on an angle and cut through. Once you get used to your tools you can make them work in ways that suit you
