Worth the effort!!!

Steel wool soaked in vinegar...which turned the console a purple color. So we sanded that down a bit and diluted some grey paint and stained over the purple with that. Then we waxed with briwax and bowling alley wax. The finishing technique is a blog post included in Ana's "rustic x" furniture plans.
