Love, love, love our king bed I build based on an adaptation of Ana's design.  I did the slats a little different, and used 1"x 2"'s and cut them in order to make a slot for the slat.  i also used non-mortise bed rail fasteners (from Amazon) so the bed could be taken apart easily.  This was my first wood working project and now I am hooked!  I am also a quilter and made the quilt for it too!  I did it on a long weekend by myself.  I was probably a bit slower than most folks considering it was my first woodworking project, so I was constantly looking up how to do things on Youtube.

Welcome to our labor of love. This is our first build and while my bf did most of the work, it was a great project for us as a couple. It was definitely work, but well worth it. We love the way it fits perfectly in our courtyard and people keep commenting on how high-end it looks. Thanks for the plan, Ana! The project took a little longer than it probably should, since it was the first project for us. You should account fort he time it will take to cut, sand and stain your pieces before assembly. There are times you will need to allow for the lumber to dry etc.

Love this bed.  I found the Cassidy plan and immediately fell in love with the decorative detail of the headboard.  It wasn't until I was in the process of buying the wood that I decided to go in a different direction and use wood from my giant scrap piles to create the headboard instead of the wood shims.  I followed the plan with a few minor modifications to work with our existing metal frame as opposed to building the one in the plan.

The basic headboard and footboard went together in one day, but creating the design with the scrap wood for the headboard took an entire Saturday.  It was time consuming cutting pieces to fit and then staining each individual piece.

I marked this as a week long project because it does take several days to stain everything and then poly it.  Most of that is wait time not actual building time.

This pantry cabinet was inspired by a design from Ballard Designs.  I needed something a little less deep for my space and couldn't afford the $1900 price tag.  I was able to build this one for just around $100 and was able to customize it to fit my own space requirements.  The arched doors and half round moulding add a nice touch.  This versatile cabinet could be used for linens, kitchen storage, crafts, or just about anything else you can think of! 

Quick and easy to follow plans.  Only issue I ran into was that my miter saw only cuts up to a 50° angle.  I set up a jig to hold the 2x2 perpendicular to the saw and set the miter to 30°.  Viola, easy 60° angles!  Pic attached for reference.

Super Easy.. I like it better without the doors. Recommend getting a KREG Jig. I have the Jr and it was perfect for this project.

I’ve  made several of these bunk beds now and my oldest was wanting a oregon beavers/San Fransisco giants themed one after we donated his during our move.  It’s made out of 2x4’s, 2x6’s and 1x3 pine.  

Due to rain (and horrible ability) this project has been taking a LONG time it seems. =) We had one of those "cheap" playsets from one of the warehouse clubs that would scare me to death anytime my girls got to swinging on it. So... we knocked it down and I took some liberty with the details from Ana's playset plans.

I built these bookshelves with the help of my husband for our daughter's nursery. They were so simple to build, the finishing work is what took the most amount of time. They're very sturdy, and we get tons and tons of compliments on the 'feel' that they add to the nursery!

Easy excellent project for That odd room you may have that needs a corner tv stand.

I use pre made 16" wide 3/4" MDF shelving from Home Depot for the Shelves, Used 1" x 3" for the top, and sprayed it all with Rustoleum Industrial flat black which dries in 15min, was the large size cans for $5.40 and and only useds 3.25 cans to paint the whole thing. 

TV is a 55" Class so it actually works perfect, because the tv stand is two legs and not the typical center mounted ones. so  put the tv toward the front of the console and the console is as far as you can go into the corner.

I have two power strips screwed to the back of the console, along with a cable amplifier, my wireless router for the house sits right behind the TV and you can see the blue status lights under the bottom of the TV.

Have  my speaker bar in the added shelf #1 below the tv, comcast cable modem in the right side square, TIVO in the center top, DVD Player in the center bottom, and loads of extra shelf space for whatever else I can think of....

This was my 2nd woodworking project. My wife had been asking for a farmhouse bed for some time, so I figured I'd go for it. The end result was even better than I was hoping. It came together really well and the bed is just perfect. Thank you Ana for the plans!

I used the Ana White Queen Bed and King Bed plans as guides, as well as another blog called A Lesson Learned. I modified the dimensions to fit our specific bed, then I drew up the plans using Sketchup and got to work. All the wood is pine from Home Depot. The total project took a couple months because I could only work on it on weekends and didn't have full days to commit to it. In the end though, totally worth it and we love the bed!
