Without finishing work, what would you estimate the price of just the base table with the drawers of the scallopped system to run? I want to make it for a friend, but want to have an idea on what I'm getting myself into cost wise!

Lumber prices seem to vary so much, regionally. I'd just take the list and hit whatever store you like to check prices!
