Side Tower Plans for the Storage Bed Wall

These large bookcases are designed to work with the rest of the Storage Bed Collection to create storage in your child's room. Position the shelves at table height to use as nightstands as well! Special thanks to Amy and Steve for sharing their photos.

The side towers can actually be modified to any width, preferably less than 36" to keep shelves from sagging.  This tower can be used in other rooms too, and for other purposes.

We've got the middle shelf at nightstand height.  Drill a hole in the back of the plywood and you can put a lamp or alarm clock in there.  Or better yet, cabinet lighting.  Speaking of cabinets, someone asked on our Facebook Page about converting some of these components to open wall kitchen cabinets.  You would not need any modifications other than a board (probably a 1x3) flat with the back, on the inside back top (and probably the bottom too) so that you have something sturdy to screw the cabinet to the wall with.  Oh, and standard cabinet height is 30".

This side tower is composed of 1x12s and 1x2s.  The back is 1/4" plywood.

Maybe I am behind in this idea, but it is possible to do something similar to the "whole collection" for a queen sized bed? I mean, my hubby and I could use this storage too, but we prefer to share a bed and need a little more room than a twin would have to offer :)

Thank you Ana!

Hey Ana,
Love your stuff! I am in the process of building the storage bed for my little girl. Just wondering if you have any plans to put the dresser on here as well?
Thanks!
