Question from User:
I plan on building this laundry pedestal as my next project:

How did you hide the edge of the plywood? The two main parts seem like basic
floor designs and I didn't notice any trim hiding the edge of the plywood on
Sasha's. I guess she could of used MDF, but I wouldn't think that would
support a heavy washer!
Thanks for any help!!

Hiding Plywood Edges
Sasha did actually use MDF for this project, but there are a few alternatives. We like to use edge banding, even for a painted project. Another option is trim over top. You could also do a few coats of wood filler and a good sanding.

Thank you
Thanks for the tips on this project, I really appreciate it! I will research the strength of MDF a little as I'm wrapping up my work bench project. I'm sure it'll be strong enough!, plus I can do more with my router with it versus plywood!!

Route a rabbet.
I built my wife a pedestal based on the plans but instead of putting the plywood/MDF on top of the frame, I routed a 1/2 inch wide rabbet and used 2x3's for the support under the deck for support. This allowed the deck to be flush with the frame.
