This was a quick project but I am happy how it turned out.
This is my second Ana project. It matches my apothecary cabinet that I made a few months ago. I am using this in my living room to nicely store kids shoes. I still need to get a few bigger baskets for the bottom. Thanks for looking!

the chairs i just drew up on a piece of paper and just got out in the shop and made them.....i have to build some more so i will kind sketch some plans down if you are interested in that
We made this table and two benches from the plans! We used 3” self tapping deck screws because we couldn’t find any in the 2-3/4” mentioned in the plan. Love the result! We used danish oil in medium walnut.
Great project and my wife loves it. I added a door, locking hinges, and made a custom cutout with shelf for the machine to sit flush with the table. I switched to piano hinge for the leaves and locking hinges for the 2x2 legs. Turned out great.
Using scraps I originally purchased from a Re-Use warehouse on my island (O'ahu), I put together two book display ledges for my daughter's bedroom. They are made with 2- 1x2s (lip and bottom) and 1- 1x4 (back). I was able to make two 28 3/4" ledges from first cut to installation in the 3 hours my daughter had gone on a "field trip" with my mom and brother and surprised her with new book ledges when she got home. :)
I repurpose furniture as a hobby and I got tired of having my tools hanging on a wall on the other side of the garage so I bult this rolling tool caddy. It is made out of 3/4" plywood, a couple of 2x4's and some heavy-duty casters. I built one about 3 years ago and realized that there were some things I wanted to do differently so I sold it and bult this one. My wife gave me a subscription to SketchUp and I had fun drawing it up and tweaking it. I left an over hang of 3" on both sides so I could store my clamps. I also attached an electrical cord reel on the right side and reversed the ends so the male end can plug into the wall and I can roll the unit across the room allowing me to be able to charge my batteries. The back side has a 44 drawer storage organizer and also a few shelves for additional tools like a router and a multi-tool. I'm not nearly the craftsman many of you are and I'm sure you could do a much better job. I didn't build it to look pretty but to be functional and it works for me.

I really like this idea. I have my tools hung up neat all around the garage, but I keep walking back and forth for tools and batteries. It would be great to roll this over to a project and have everything you need right there. Nice work. I will modify one for my needs.

there are some very thoughtful features on this, notably the wings at the top and the bottom for clamps and extra tools and the different shelf heights. Well done! I'm going to build one just like it and a power strip for battery storage.

I built ledge shelves for our kitchen using reclaimed wood I painted teal, then silver, then flat black (Napoleon).

Great looking shelves, and it's neat how you got these in the corner shape. It adds so much storage! The color looks perfect with the tile and counter. Love the little flecks of the other colors peeking through too! Great job!

These ledge shelves really are my favorite shelves right now. I plan to add a few more to my daughter's room, but I'll wait to make those until after I build her dresser. :)

I love your adaptation of the original design. I have been looking for an example of someone who made this plan into a wider shelf. Has it held up well? I was worried about the stress on the joints when you make it deeper. Has yours handled the weight? How wide is the bottom piece?

I've had the shelves up for about a year now and it's still in the same spot. The corner shelves are the most sturdy, most likely because it is supported by screws in two perpendicular walls. Its filled with mason jars (re-used, cleaned pickle jars) of pantry items, and there is no visible stress on the joints that I can see.
The smaller shelf is not as sturdy because I could not locate a stud (that didn't have electrical wiring close to it). I used wall anchors and it sags ever so slightly forward (about a millimeter). We only keep our drinkware on it, however.
The base of the shelf is made from a 1x8 (7-1/4" wide). The full width of the shelf with the 1x4 back and 1x2 front lip is about 8-3/4" wide.

My daughter and her room mate were looking for coffee table that is small enough for their dorm and able to store items underneath.
This plan was easy to follow and I completed it within a weekend. I even took the pocket hole suggestion for the table top.
The Golden Oak stain looks great on the 2x6xs. I added two coats of polyurethane to make that top as smooth as glass.
I scoured the web unsuccessfully for months trying to find a cabinet big enough to store everything we needed to store. I wanted something huge and bright and simple, and so I decided to just build away. It's 8'4" long, 18" deep and 36" tall. Topped with a slab of Giallo Napoleon granite and painted a nice plain white. Took me only a few nights to build and paint, thanks to my power nailer and power paint sprayer. Thanks to a great deal on a remnant granite slab, this was just about $400 total start to finish. I winged the entire plan and didn't really use any plans in particular, though I have gathered many great ideas and tips from this site.

I made this for my boy who's turning four tomorrow! (Sep 1st) He loves building forts and I don't mind rearranging the furniture, but set up and clean up is so time consuming, we'd both rather spend more time playing. This is an indoor tent, but I took it outside for pictures. Aside from the obvious difference of adding doors and a back, the changes I made from the original plans are: using an 8 foot 1x3 so the tent is 4 feet deep instead of 3. Instead of stapling the fabric on the 1x3s at the bottom, I wrapped the fabric around and used velcro so I could remove it for washing. I sewed a tube of fabric and attached it at the top to make removal easier. Time Investment is so long because of the sewing involved for the tent. If you have an Ikea near you, they've got this stuff called glaze paint (more of a stain, I think) in all different colors - it doesn't need a top coat (unless you want it shiny), it's solvent free and, are you ready? $6 for 12.something ounces, MORE than enough for this project. To make it even easier if you're using fabric instead of curtains like me and you've got the room, cut a 8ft 1x3 in half so you've got two 4ft pieces. Most quilting cotton at fabric stores is 44-45 inches wide selvedge to selvedge (the ends that don't fray) and if you follow the plan according to where to drill for the top bolt, you'll need 4-4.25 yards of fabric, depending on whether you are going to use velcro or staple. I would use 4.25 if using velcro, the fabric can go right over the top bar and over the other side if you don't want to sew a tube like I did. If you don't want to sew at all, use iron-on hem tape on the cut edges and iron on velcro. Make sure of placement of the velcro before ironing on. More pictures on my blog =)

My latest furniture build, custom kitchen island inspired by Williams-Sonoma "Cooper Double Kitchen Island. The workers there weren't too happy when I was at their store taking measurements and me telling them, I'm going to build one myself. The most expensive part was the matching quartz top on it. Here is my start to finish pictures. It's a great addition to my complete home renovation project, which is now on the market for sale. Thanks for these plans! I was able to complete this planter in one afternoon.
Started on Saturday Afternoon around 5pm and finished building on Sunday, sanding on Monday, stain and poly on Tuesday and we ate Thanksgiving Dinner on it on Thursday. All that is left is the wood putty! Not perfect but VERY happy with it :)
