Huge Giveaway from PureBond Plywood!

Happy New Year!

Thank you for being part of our 2011. We are looking forward to seeing you in 2012. It's going to be a fun year! Have you got your projects lined out? Are you already thinking, man, I gotta find somewhere to put all this stuff?
Well, before you head off to buy your materials, I got a very special surprise for you!  Because if you are willing to work hard, you deserve not just a better home regardless of your budget, but also a healthier home.
The kind folks over at PureBond Plywood - you know, the beautiful hardwood plywood made with soy based glue, the plywood that is formaldehyde free, that I use on projects?  - are excited to give away a $100 Home Depot gift card every single weekday this month!
It is super easy to enter, just head on over to the PureBond Facebook Page, like it, and then click on HD Gift Card Giveaway tab on the left sidebar.  You can enter every single day this month for more chances to win!
And while this giveaway is awesome with so many opportunities for anyone to win an amazing prize, everyone is a winner when you choose greener building materials!  PureBond Plywood is made with zero added formaldehyde - now listed as a cancer causing agent by the US government - right here in North America.  PureBond Plywood is produced with great concern and care for sustaining our forests and environment.  When you build with PureBond Plywood, you are not breathing sawdust particles containing formaldehyde ... that may linger in the air long after you cut.
Oh, and the product is beautiful and easy to work with!
My mudroom is PureBond in Birch painted yellow.  The decorative cuts were easy to make and sand, and the painted finish is smooth and even.
My desk is PureBond Oak with a clear coat.  Functional and beautiful!  I used edge banding to finish the edges economically.
And the Dream Dollhouse was made with pine boards for the legs and trim, 3/4" PureBond Oak for the floors and walls, and 1/4" PureBond oak scraps for the roof.
These are just a few projects I've made.  Right now, we are working on two full kitchens for the Momplex made entirely with PureBond Plywood!
Well, get on over and win yourself some plywood, and turn it into a bookshelf or a dollhouse ... or even new kitchen cabinets!  And remember, you can enter every single day in the month of January for more chances to win!
NOTE: PureBond Plywood is available at most Home Depot locations in the US. Find your nearest supplier here.
PS - I am not compensated in any way by Columbia Forest Products, manufacturers of PureBond Plywood to promote this giveaway or take the PureBond Formaldehyde Free Pledge.  Just excited to provide you with an opportunity at great building materials and a big fan of PureBond Plywood!  Columbia Forrest Products does sponsor our site through the beautiful backgrounds and providing product, but all opinions expressed in this post and throughout this site are my own.

Am I really the first comment!?!? I am SOOO Excited about this giveaway, probably the most excited I've ever been about a giveaway Ana!!

My husband and I have taken the Purebond Pledge already and love using it!! We've used it on our toy workbench, my daughter's Lydia toddler bed and now we're building drawers in our entryway closet (I just posted a brag on this last night). Next up is probably a big desk in our bedroom based off your desk plans.

My blog is at 29RueHouse.blogspot.com

My local home depot doesn't seem to stock purebond (North of Seattle) do you know of any other retailers or is there another similar product I should be looking for? I was disappointed and I'm not sure why they wouldn't sell it :(

You can order a specific type of plywood from a lot of places (I don't know if Home Depot is one of them). Lumber yards tend to be very good about that, and Menards will definitely do it, although their stores are thin on the ground in your part of the country. If you do a google search for hardwood lumber in your area, any of those lumberyards will probably be willing to order a special plywood for you if they handle plywood at all.

If you ask a lumber yard to special order the plywood, it would also be nice to buy the rest of your lumber there. It's a different retail experience than you're used to, but it actually tends to be much more full service. It's just that the clerks wear carharts and steel toed boots, rather than nice suits.

We don't have Menards here but a new lumber yard did open up just a few minutes from my house. I haven't been down there yet because I was hoping to find what I need before I shlep the kids with me :) But I will give them a call - I didn't think about ordering, they probably would...

Wonder if this would be a good way to build a twin farmhouse bed? I need to make one of those soon for my daughter, we're going to the "bed girl bed" soon!
