Hi everyone, I've got a little treat for you today! I have been asked to contribute to the MyColortopia community, a community designed specifically to help you to get the perfect paint finish in your home.

I know we focus on constructing and building furniture on this site. But I find the finish is the scariest part. It's the make or break part. A good paint finish in the perfect color can make you love a room or project ... but a bad one ... and it can make you just want to give up on your DIY dreams altogether.
MyColortopia is a blog written by a powerful group of home design and DIY bloggers, all experienced in color and paint. I'm excited to join the team, and excited to share with you an opportunity to learn and improve our projects. I have already contributed a post on one of my favorite tricks - going bold and bright on a small piece of furniture ... and pulling it off - and will be contributing monthly blog posts over there. I hope you will stop over and say hello, add your advice or ask questions.
Because we all know building is the easy part!
I have partnered with Glidden/ Akzo Nobel Paints to participate in the My Colortopia program but the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Blog Feed
Anna,
That is a GREAT site. I tried to put it in my Google Reader put it tells me there is no feed. Just a FYI so maybe you can pass it along. I did not see a contact us button on the site to let them know or find out what I might be doing wrong. Thanks.

Add this great site to our readers!
I had this same problem. I guess they perhaps haven't worked out all of the details?

Couldn't agree more!
The current debate in our house is whether to paint our anywhere fireplace SW Greek Villa or SW Wheat Penny. It was over a year before we decided what color to paint our simple outdoor chair for the deck and I stand by the fact that it was only decided because we asked the readers of my blog to weigh in. Here's my chair dilemma: http://thisdiylife.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/shall-we-take-a-vote/.
