I really liked the idea of adding behind the door storage to my pantry, but the floor between the pantry and the hall that the door opens up to is not level, which would make adding wheels problematic. So I invented the shock absorber. All the parts were available at Home Depot, the springs were part of an assorted spring kit (I had to buy 2 to get 8 springs). The spring height is (tediously) adjustable. The springs have enough tension on them to hold the weight of the shelves, but compress as they roll over a higher surface.
