Backrest Angle?
This is a beautiful piece! What angle did you cut the back rest?

Backrest angles
On average, the angle between the seat and the backrest should be about 100 to 110 degrees to create a comfortable and relaxed sitting position.

The base plans are for the modern outdoor chair. My modifications were as follows: I made the front and back pieces 22 inches and the sides 24 inches for smaller cushions . I also cut two extra 2x6's, also 22 inches for the "modified back " center pieces and two 2x6's at roughly 16 inches for the sides of the "modified back" center piece. I cut those pieces at 105 degrees before attaching the center pieces. It's just like the sides but with a miter on the side pieces . I also attached them to the armrest from underneath with screws and glue before I attached the armrest to the chair vs. using pocket holes.
