My daughter wanted a bed for her dolls. American Girl Doll Bed beds are outrageous, soI decided to make one out of some scrap wood we had laying around. I modified it a bit and added a trundle bed below.

Made from a combination of Ana White plans to build the ultimate home bar! I used the Rustic Sideboard / Buffet Table and Modular Bar Wine Grid Hutch plans for this custom build

I first saw this headboard on Ana White's Instagram and loved the idea! I took a screen shot so I would remember it later. One day my daughter was flipping through the photos on my phone and saw this screen shot. We were about to move to a new house and she wanted me to make this headboard for her new room. She is 11 years old and loves to play games on her laptop with her friends so this was perfect for her. Within a month of moving into the new house I started to build this piece. It took me a couple weeks to finish since I have three kids and was also trying to unpack our entire house but I love the finished product! My daughter really loves it too!

Went with a black, high gloss finish which I sanded down with 220 grit sandpaper to soften the look. Cut up a birch tree from the backyard, back-lit the logs with two strands of orange Halloween lights from the dollar store (we drilled a hole in the bottom back for the plug for the lights).
Added a remote extender so we don't have to open the front middle door in order to operate our streaming devices.
Love to be able to decorate this for the holidays--can hardly wait for Christmas!

My wife wanted a new King bed frame, and we were searching around stores to find one that she loved. All of them were close. but not perfect, and also way too expensive. I told her I'd just build one! It was my first woodworking project, and it came out exactly what we wanted. We even had some fun Saturday nights sanding and painting together.

I built my wife a barn door wall mirror for our anniversary. But then got this crazy idea attach a shadow box to display wedding dress. Project get wedding dress out of closet!!

Hi Ana! - I'm so glad that I found your site. Thank-you SO much for your plans and video tutorials. 

I was recently in a car accident and found myself away from work for several months. Though I've always been hesitant to build anything (for lack of having been taught), I've found a new passion for woodwork. It's been a wonderful pastime and has created hours of fun with my young daughter. 

This is my first project (save for a few small boxes). - I'm very proud of the final product and was thrilled to be able to share it with my family for Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend.

The project was quite pricey, due in large part to the live-edge lumber that I sourced (2 x (2x6) @ 8ft). - The project includes the Fancy Farmhouse Table as well as 2 matching benches.

I had a friend of mine ask me about building a table for her farmhouse and an anniversary gift . She has a large family and a very large space, and needed a table large enough to fill that space... I had no idea how large it would be. After going through some of my preliminary questions about the build I finally got to the dimensions. She said I’m thinking about 11’ ... she was serious...
I had never built anything that large, I was nervous and very excited. She started researching bases and she told me she liked the x base look. I knew I had seen it on the Ana White website. http://ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/triple-pedestal-farmhouse-tab… So I immediately went to work on the design with modifications in mind so an 11’ table would be feasible.
Their family also supplied the wood... they estimated it to be roughly 100 year old pine flooring from a house that they were tearing down on the property.
It was an incredible challenge, but it turned out to be so beautiful. It is my first and last 11’ table.

My teenage niece asked me to build her a cool seating area for her new bedroom. So I used Ana White’s Outdoor Sofa with Sectional for the plans. I modified the overall size for the space and the seat depth to accommodate the seat cushions she bought, painted it white, and let her add pillows and blankets to make it soft and cozy. She loves it and I’m the coolest Aunt ever!!

I had a very old, weathered 2 x 10 and wanted to build a couple of end tables for beside our new couch. All I did with the top was to lightly sand to take away a bit of the weathered wood. I had to purchase two 4 x 4 x 8' fir posts for the legs. I decided against adding the bottom shelves.

I adapt the plan for the demand of a double boot rack. One for the big foot (Mother and father, 45 :) ) and one for the kids. And each for 6 pairs of boots! It's why I've decrease the space between each pair not to have to long rack. 1.4m for the longest. I used bankirai wood from a dismantle old deck and pine.

I was asked to surprise someone with a 12 ft. bench. After searching and searching I found a plan I really liked, but I felt it just wasn’t enough. I modified the plans to give it a little more of a farmhouse look. I also had to double the size of the original plans.

10 ft closet that had a lot of space but little organization. First attempt at building anything. Built the bench first in four different sections then attached together. Closet already had two long 10 ft boards so just added vertical dividers to match the cubbies for each person. Added shelving on sides using the concepts of making the original bench. Our baseboards have tile that was installed up to it so I didn’t attempt to remove them but notched out the backs of the wood to fit around. On the side left about 6 inches and installed the rod front to back using C hooks to hang things from them. Will be adding lots more hooks on the sides as well. Used a couple different plans but ended up making changes along the way based on my skill level and what I thought would work best for the family.

Built this for a friend. Changed up some of the dimensions but the plans were great. Super easy!

We built a bed frame off a different DIY website and never fell in love with it. We decided on Ana’s Modern Farmhouse and matching end table plans and decided to throw a local barn wood twist on it. We loved the look so much we didn’t sand or stain it, just gave it a good power wash. We really like the functionality of being able to take a few screws out to move and the fact that we could reuse our old barn wood headboard and make an end table out of it. Thanks for all your free plans!

This amazing trestle table seats 8 people with the “not pictured” matching bench. The table legs are jointed with mortise and tenon and the ends of the table top are lose slot jointed to the 4”x4”s to prevent unwanted warping if there is any. The table top is secured to the apron frame by table top fasteners to allow for wood movement and easy disassemble for transport. All wood planed to required thickness and sanded to 220 grit. Then finished off with an 80/20 mixture of “carbon grey stain and Ebony stain”. 3 coats of oil based satin polyurethane to top it off.
