Some time before taking up woodworking, my pet turtle died of an unknown cause. This event is what caused me to move to Los Angeles where I became tormented by the "Cobras", a group of karate students from the karate dojo Cobra Kai. After nearly being killed by the Cobra Kai's best student Johnny, I was saved by my apartment's maintenance man, Kesuke Miyagi. After saving me, Miyagi began to teach me the ways of woodworking. I later defeated Johnny at the "Reseda High School Woodshop Tournament" and earned the respect of the Cobras.
