DIY Lighted JOY sign for Holidays!

Happy Monday DIY Friends!

Last week, the family and I traveled to San Diego to attend the Home Depot DIH Workshop event.

Thank you to all of you who came out!  I loved meeting you all and seeing your projects.

This was one of the funnest workshops ever!

Everything is of course more fun when she's there.

And yes, that is the lovely Jen Woodhouse on the right!  After five years of being blog friends, we finally got to meet. She's even more wonderful in person.

Thank you to all of you who attended workshops in your areas.  I loved seeing your photos! (all photos from Twitter #DIHWORKSHOP)

Thank you for coming out!

For those of you who couldn't make it to the DIH Workshop on Thursday, of course you can make this project at home to!

The full tutorial with videos are here.

Wishing you lots of JOY!

Preparation Instructions
Fill all holes with wood filler and let dry. Apply additional coats of wood filler as needed. When wood filler is completely dry, sand the project in the direction of the wood grain with 120 grit sandpaper. Vacuum sanded project to remove sanding residue. Remove all sanding residue on work surfaces as well. Wipe project clean with damp cloth.

It is always recommended to apply a test coat on a hidden area or scrap piece to ensure color evenness and adhesion. Use primer or wood conditioner as needed.
