My shelves are about 2.5 ft long. I wanted a display area in my dining room to show off some plates I had made for my boyfriend a while back.

I designed and built this "Caribbean Inspired" outdoor patio set based on the plans for the "Vintage Bar Stool". Once the stools were built, I designed the table to fit the height of the stools. The table top has stone mosaic tile and all surface are painted bright Caribbean colors. I do need to add the finishing touch of a cooler on the bottom shelf, but that's coming!

Okay, don't mind the husband and the pooch in the background there! I fell in love with the Pottery Barn version of this table (actually, I've fallen in love with everything from Pottery Barn, if we're being honest here), so I've been wanting to make this coffee table for quite awhile. I found the legs on ebay for a really low price, so I splurged and bought premium 5/4" thick pine planks for the table top to make it look more substantial. This table was so easy to assemble using pocket holes. My husband and I both love how it turned out!

My sister was in love with my 4x4 truss table i made and needed a patio table so we decided to take one day to make 2 tables, one for each. We convinced both daddys to take care of the kids while we made the table by telling them the tables were gonna have beer coolers inside! Attaching the to of the table was a lot a job. If you plan of doing this you really want to have a kreg jig. It works well, we love it. I made a bench to go with it. I made my how plan for it.

I build the bar table with an x-base and created some stools using part of the plan. We really wanted backs on the stools so I made them up!

I modified the original plan so that it would fit in the area wher my old linen cabinet was.  I also wanted the drawers to be visible.

Loved this project!  We had an old headboard so my wife came up with the idea to cut off the top posts and use them as legs.  

Made this one with shelf edges/trim just on the sides. Somehow my top shelf didn't span the width so had to add a little shim on each side but it all worked out! We had all the pallets and used 1x3s for the frame because some of my pallet wood was heavy hardwood. It was not without frustration because I was working with uneven/warped pallet wood but it hits the rustic look.  I am happy with how it turned out. 

First project I tried from here.  Not too bad.  I have a Cordless miter saw (Ryobi)

Using your shed plans, modified to use the 2x4s I already had on hand, I designed this 4'x8'x7' shed to match my house.  I replaced the ceder fence boards with a hardiboard, but the construction was pretty much the same.  My husband and I are so happy with this shed,which looks very similar to the $4000+ sheds we have seen, and it cost us less than $400 to make and matches our house perfectly.  Your instructions were great, and I know you saved me a lot of time and trouble.  Can't wait to load it up with our snow and gardening equipment!  Thank you!

Instead of having the plywood top sit on top of the frame, I sunk it into the frame instead with 2x4 supports underneath.

We were replacing the floors in our house so we decided to build a closet mud room. We used the plans for the smiling mudroom and altered them slightly. We didn't end up building the partitions because the left and right seats would have been too closed in. We installed bead board on the back wall and used moulding on the shelf and bench. The only hard part was that we had to actually assemble the shelves and bench in the closet because they wouldn't have fit in once built! The Kreg Jig was extremely helpful and well worth the purchase.
