Used Redwood and Kona colored stain. This is my first wood project and Ana really inspired me in being able to complete this. Thank You Ana all the way from California! The Love Seat was easy to modify from the original 3 seat plan.
If you need a shelf/ledge, this is the plan for you - regardless of your building ability. Easiest. plan. ever.
And if you are like me - you won't even have to make any cuts! We have this ledge in our dining room along the long wall. it gets decorated for each season and it's GREAT! We love showcasing family photos as well as our holiday decor.
Wood, glue, nails or screws. Paint. Done! It's that easy!

My sister wanted a step stool for her grand-daughter via her daughter-in-law. Like our mother and grand-mother before us, we stood by the sink with our hands in the wash water "helping" with the dishes. She asked it I could build a stool. After searching through several plans, I came across this vintage step stool and changed it up a little for the personal touch. I added the cartoon characters to fit with my great-nieces theme and she now has something that she can "brag" about as she grows.
Octagon picnic table! Built exactly to plan. This challenged my carpentry skills but I managed to pull it off all by myself. Great plans easy to follow and a great design! Would build again!
Pantry cabinet, with lots of room, Ana-inspired. We combined ideas from the Momplex kitchen, simple armoire, and benchmark storage, and we are super pleased with how this turned out. We built it in 2 pieces, attached together and then secured to the base and wall studs so it’s a ‘built-in’. Then we added lots of trim and painted to match the dining room. The opening at the left is large enough to fit pretty much any size microwave, and there’s a dedicated outlet behind it in the opening. The shelves are spaced wide enough apart for tall cereal boxes, tall bottles, and chip bags to stand upright. Overall finished cabinet size is 48" wide and 95 3/4" tall. This took us several days to complete. Since the doors are tall and kind of heavy, we added the Blum cabinet door dampeners from Rockler (these things really work!). Ana, thank you so much for the inspiration. I don’t think we would have tried this if it wasn’t for you. We love our new pantry!

This was my first Ana White build, and I’m hooked. Super simple for a beginner to make.
I made this table for a friend of mine. I'm a Realtor and he used me to help purchase his home. Instead of a boring house warming gift, I made him this table instead!
We modified Ana White’s excellent Mud Kitchen plans, adding a third section and scaling the whole thing slightly larger to be a better size for our 4 and 6 year old grand daughters. It was so much fun to make and accessorize!
My first Ana White project. My friend Shelley and I are RN's, and she got me hooked on woodworking. I started with cushions from Lowes ( in the sizes that you recommended)to see if I loved the sectional for a few years. I loved it so much I decided to have custom Sunbrella fabric ones made. Even though the custom ones were more expensive, it has been worth it. They go perfect with my California Mission style home. Now I want to add the armless one and make it a U-shape. I did add a piece at the bottom back of each sofa to hold the cushions in. The seat cushions would slide out the back when sitting on the sofa. I made the coffee table to match. Our family loves it!
Ana White inspired chaise lounge......
We took out the tv entertainment cabinet and built a frame for a 60” electric fireplace. We found the ledger rock to match the wall I completed two years ago and then I tiled the rock over the backer board and installed the fireplace. The wood on top of the fireplace came from an oak tree that was growing through our deck. I milled the wood and joined three boards to give me the depth I needed, sanded, stained and put a poly finish on it. Love the final result and we gained 6” of space in the room.

Made these two in about 3 hours. Instead of wood glue I used construction adhesive. Now to sand and stain then add cushions.

Thanks to Ana White and fsmumford, I was inspired to create a castle bed for my princess. It was a lot of hard work but it paid off seeing her going up the stairs and down the slide a million times the 1st day!

Our first plan from Ana White. It was really easy to follow and this was a fun project to do with the children. We used pine wood because it was cheaper than cedar, so we will try to not put them directly under the rain.
We were able to make two birdhouses in removing .25 inch in one birdhouse. We used wood we already had for the third one.
We let the children added some details to the birdhouses. Because of the birds we want to attract here, one hole is 1.25 inch and the other two are 1.5 inch.
I used cedar and added the extra boards so the cushions would stay put. We also made the arms 2x6 boards so we wouldn’t need end tables for the couch. The plans were super easy to follow. I mostly used pocket holes so the screws wouldn’t be visible. Love how it came out! Thank you for the plans, Ana!!
Made this for the mud room. Been wanting a place to sit while we put our shoes on and take them off. This was a mod on the 63" version of the Fancy Farmhouse bench. I saw a mod similar to this but even more reinforced supports. I used Pocket holes for this first time with the project. from a distance you can't see the covered up screws on the top. I dunno if this was the best way but I wanted a solid connection for the bench and it's legs. instead of a bottom support beam I went with 20" diagonal 2x4's so we could put our shoes underneath the bench.

One day project (another day for poly)
My oldest son's room is only 97 square feet. We needed to add the maximum amount of storage in the small, awkwardly-shaped room. My husband and I decided to make a built-in bed using a couple of stock cabinets to flank the bed. Using Ana White's plans, we made 3 rolling trundle drawers to go underneath.

hard to believe, we found them on the Big Lots website...$40 a set back and cushion. We looked everywhere for an affordable option. These look great and are really comfortable..!thanks for the compliment : )
