I used the "square x bass pedestal" plans to complete this 4' card table. The top is made from reclaimed gym flooring from the local high school. The "x base pedestal" provides a nice sturdy base for the large table. The project was completed over several weekends when I had time to work on it. 

My first Ana-White plan project. We are pleased with the plans and result. only made a few minor changes.

we built this table for our new home when we couldn't find an existing table that we wanted for under $1000. we were hesitant to attempt building it ourselves since we haven't attempted anything similar before, but knew we could do it with a plan. there were a couple bumps in the road as we learned how to read the plan and understand the different techniques, but we LOVE the end result. Especially because it didn't cost us anything out of pocket! {we had a lowes giftcard:)} the total came to about $130 for all the supplies; including the paint and poly for the finishing.

We found two old windows with the original hardware. They were covered with chipping lead based paint so we pulled off what paint we could (safely). We then painted them over with oil based Kilz before the final coat. We then built the cupboard from there. We decided to go with a more rustic look since the windows were still a little rough. We applied a crackle finish in a few spots using white glue to add to the rustic texture.

I built this changing table for my friend's new baby. I had to stain all the individual pieces and assemble it at her house. It wouldn't fit assembled in my vehicle! :)

I also built her a stepstool as well.

We are in the unique position of having stairs in our bedroom and they take up quite a lot of room. We considered putting a chair and set of drawers under the stairs but they would have looked cramped.

Having done some research we found some photos where people had built benches under the stairs.  It was around this time that we found Ana White's plan for framing up a mud room bench in a nook (which for some reason I can't add to the 'built from' section). We had to adapt it as the original plan was framed by 3 walls and due to the angle of the stairs we could only use 2 and added legs. We also had to add triangular panels to give it that built-in look.

We were able to complete the build for relatively cheap as we kept a ton of 2x2 from when we removed a 60s built in wardrobe and was able to rebuild it. If you look behind the drawers you can even see that the wood is notched from the wardrobe hinges but in a nice way it keeps the old owners work in the house.

Simple to build, took longer to paint it than it did to build it!

My husband and I loved the Squared2 Chair we saw on this site and we knew that we wanted to have this design for our dining chairs. As my building experience has increased, I thought it was time to try. This is my first chair: it is not perfectly executed, but I learned a few things along the way and I've decided to buy a few tools, too. I modified the square back pattern cut lengths explained briefly on my little blog.

My husband loves to set outside and look out over our 10 acres with his coffee in the mornings. I thought this chair would be a great birthday gift to use for that purpose! It was fairly easy to put together.  I just have to purchase some cushions and it'll be ready to give to him.  I did modify a few things...used some 2x4s, changed up the back boards a bit and put some angle cuts on the arms. I'm very pleased with it! This is the third or fourth project we've made from Ana's plans. We just love them!

This was the first table that I built and turned out great.  

This was a part of my recent bathroom remodel (new floor tile, shower tile, toilet, and vanity). The plans came out of looking at my favorite home sites, which for this were Ana White and Remodelaholic, and realizing that the vanities in my price were were cheap and not that cheap.

The vanity build itself didn't take that long but had to be done is small segments due to lack of one giant clump of time. Total wood cost was around $60, plus $5 for the gloss polyurethane, $60 for the sink (clearance) and $100 for the faucet. More importantly, the vanity fits the space that I had in the efficient bathroom.
