We paired this bed frame with Nathan James upholstered headboard to replicate our favorite Airbnb we stayed at in Telluride. That bed was a $1300 from West Elm. Minus the tools, this bed came in around $500 for everything (including bedding).

Made my table 4 feet on accident (forgot to cut the 1x10 boards down to 36" before attaching everything) but I kinda like the extra length. I also ended up making the matching side table.

If I wanted to make this taller like 3×6ft what size wood would do I need? I want to make this stand for my daughters urn area. She passed away last month and I'm trying to make this perfect. The sooner the better.. Thanks! Love all your work..
Rustic X Console, minus the X. And I used the finishing techniques from another project. I also built a bar before I found this site and we painted the bar stools the same color as this console to tie in the two spaces in the finished basement. I would say the most stress was that I couldnt find straight boards.. so being square was a challenge. Also when you follow the plans, it says to make both sides ( figure 8s) then attach the shelves.. I put the 2x4s on the top to connect and then did the shelves. I figured if all the pieces were right lenght, then it was best way of assuring the project would be as square as possible. I know it would be on carpet, so I wasnt too worried, but when I brought in into basement to paint, all 6 legs sat very flush on the ground with the slightest of wobble. So, I would say rest one side on the ground.. line up the 2X4s that connect the two sides at the top and then go from there, then do the shelves.
Had a blast building this for my mother. Only problem now is everyone in my family wants one!
we made two of step stools for two little girls for Christmas! we personalized them. we drill some wholes so, it'd be easy for the girls to carry around.
We do not have a garage yet, so this size works great to push out of the way when not being used and pull out for a workbench and also to extend the table top for the saw. The plans were easy to follow and easy to modify. I added a base made of 2x4’s to make it sturdier since it will be moved across a deck vs a level floor. I also added some boards behind the shelf to keep things from falling out the back and adjusted the height to match the table saw top. Next up will be a router table stand to replace the camping footlocker.
This is my first brag post! I modified the base to make benches. I am not super creative or any good at math, so I was super proud :D
Needed a small workbench to fit in a tight space, but still wanted something sturdy as it supports a 1-ton arbor press. Your plans were so helpful!

6'x6' with 12'' Treated Sides, 1x4 and 1x6 SPF tops/seats and 2x4 Brace under Seats to accommodate the 6 foot span. Sanded and Painted.
Completed in 2 days, couple hours each day, sanded/painted all boards before assembly.

I modified these plans slightly so as the add wrought iron mantel supports. I increased the length of the top and bottom and then added 2 additional internal supports where I made cuts on the front board (just on the inner edge of the mantle support. love how it turned out.

Corn Hole Plans
Made lighter by thinner plywood and using 2x3s instead of 2x4s. Not regulation size as just for family and used rope as handles and Velcro on bottom to carry both pieces as one unit. Decorated to fit kids favorite schools.
This table was made with Cedar but the base was pressure treated wood. The legs were Cedar 4x4s and very sturdy. I used a mix of designs and altered each to fit my needs. Getting the lumber from a lumber yard vs. big box cut my costs in half. Used stainless steel finish screws, Kreg Weather Treated Screws, and Deck Screws.

I found this project on I different site (sorry) but really wanted to make it for our quest bathroom. It was not to difficult and it really helps to finish off our quest bathroom since it was missing a medicine cabinet.

Who doesn't like a great scrapwood project? I made these beautiful garden markers with pine, but cedar would have been even better! I just didn't have any on hand. I used 1x3 to put the name of my vegetables and 1x2 for the pickets. I screwed them with 1 1/4 inch exterior screws.
I had so nuch fun making this table. I love how it turned it out.

I am in southern california (mild weather) so i just used pine and coated them with urethane.
Such a fun set to make! We switched out 1x6 for the back and seat, stained and torched. Gotten lots of compliments and even have some in the works for our neighbors :)
