We've got a friend that basically supplies us with unlimited farm fresh eggs. The instant my wife saw this on ana-white she started asking me for one. Rounded over the holes with the router and rounded the corners of the sides. Took us about an hour total.
Combo of varathane special walnut and weathered oak stain on the finish.
I built this American girl doll house for my daughter. I wanted to give her something to keep her youth alive!

Built these two adirondack chairs from pallet wood that I had at home. Made the perfect seating area for my fire pit. Can't wait to enjoy the fall evenings in my $0 chairs!
What I really liked about this plan is its versatility. Relatively easy with pocket hole joinery and inexpensive materials, I used paint to match existing furniture and solid wood tops and drawer fronts to add just a touch of elegance.
Absolutely love this desk. We changed the shelf heights just a bit and made the center ladder more to my height needs. We burned the wood before staining.
Easy build, turned out great. Our first project like this. We built 4!
My daughter moved into her first apartment and asked me to make her a dining room table. I used the plans found on Ana's website and made a slight modifcations. I used 5/4" pine boards to build the tops and regular douglas fir 4x4s and 2x4s for the bases. All screws are hidden exept the lag bolts I painted black and used to bolt the end trusses to the center truss which gives it kind of a industrial type accent. Thanks to Ana White and Shanty 2 CHIC for the great plans. My daughter loved the table and bench and she is going to find chair for the other side of the table.
My sister and brother-in-law recently moved to Albuquerque and purchased a home with a wonderful view of the Sandia Mountains. I built them the mirror from The Handbuilt Home (p. 36), and they hung it in the entry hall. The reflection in the mirror is a gorgeous view of the mountain range out of their large living room windows. Because this was not a rustic build, I used better pine boards, sanded very smooth.
Thank you to ANA for the great plan (and book!). Also a great big hug to JOANNE and TRACY for responding so quickly to my query regarding attaching the mirror to the frame. I ended up having the mirror company attach the mirror with silicone because I was afraid mirror clips would mar the smooth, shiny surface of the wall. We also covered the back of the mirror with craft paper, contact cemented to the frame to protect the mirror silvering.
This was a fun build, and my sister and b-in-law are very pleased with it.

Wow guys, what a great job! And only 1 day, thats amazing. This is on our to do list as well but lots of other "important" kiddy things to do first :) Was there anything when building you would have done differently? Any tips you may have :)
I have wanted to make Adirondack chairs for some time and loved finding these plans. I use exclusively reclaimed or salvaged lumber for all my projects. The lumber for these came from a fire station being torn down to make way for a newer more modern one. These are now home on the patio of the new station. Love how you make plans that are easy to follow and headache free. Thank you!
We made this peace 12 feet long, the hardest part was to find straight boards at home depot and adjust the feet because of an uneven garage floor. It was my first big project and hubby helped so I can't take all the credits :)
I designed this bookshelf/art center as a baby gift for a friend. The windows are shelves with motion sensor lights. When opened the desk lifts up to provide an art station or reading area.

I have allergies to wood dust, which can make working in my shop a challenge. To help deal with the large amount of dust I've been kicking up lately with my table saw, I built my own dust collection system. It's not as good as a professional dust collector, but it's pretty good, and it was really easy to build.

On facebook somebody suggested that putting the port for the vacuum in the center would improve the vortex action. That would match the configuration of the vortex collectors, which draw from the center as well.

I have enjoyed my miter saw cart for years. My sweet hubby gifted me with a table saw but I was nervous to use it without support for large pieces of wood and needed better storage. So... I modified my cart by adding a back leaf and making the shelf adjustable with two sets of cleats for the height of both saws.

How do you make the new supports for the outer folding leaf?
We added a shelf for the flowers otherwise it’s too deep
I had an existing silverware tray that was sliding around the drawer every time it opened and closed.
the stick on method was the ticket to quickly and easily creating dividers for around the silverware tray

After our basement remodel I decided we needed some storage for our growing collection of of toys.
This project went together much more quickly than I expected. I am so happy with the results.
