I grew up in a DIY family and used to help my Dad and Granddad build stuff in the garage. It was a shock when I got old enough to have my own garage and I realized it did not come already stocked with a table saw and woodshop! I was afraid I would be forever stuck with ready-made and not-quite-right furniture until I found this site and realized I could build with just a few affordable, hand-held power tools!
