Wooden star ornaments from scraps

I wanted to share this project with everyone, because you probably have everything you need on hand to make them! Simply cut out some star shapes from any 1x pieces of scrap wood that you have laying around. Drill a hole through one of the points and sand the edges. The next step is to add a name and maybe the year. I used a wood burning tool, however, you could also hand paint the words. After the personalization, seal with polyurathane. I used a MinWax stain plus poly all in one. Lastly, add a piece of jute or ribbon for the hanger. These make very special (yet inexpensive) gifts for grandparents!

I love this, thank you for posting it!  I'm totally going to make some and have DS (3 years old) decorate them to send to the grandparents!
