DIY Doll Pram

This project turned out well, but I feel the plans need refined and explained in greater detail for beginners. I made a lot of mistakes and had to fix those, so this project took me a lot longer (several weekends when adding in painting/finishing and clean up). The plans call for a very squared and rigid shape and I wanted something more curvy like the other brag posts, so I had to freehand draw the sides. I drew the sides slightly shorter than the base and that was a mistake, so learn from mine. The wheels I used metal rods and end caps to hold the wheels on like the other brag posts. I didn't have a way to cut the rods shorter, so I added washers to fill the space. It was tricky to add the sides to the base evenly. I wish I would have known to use a 2 x 4 board under the base to help guide me for even placement - another one of my mistakes to learn from. I don't like the screws used to hold the handle onto the pram and raised it like another brag post suggested. I did use a piece of scrap wood to ensure that both sides of the handle were at the same height and it did give space for a foam cushion base I sewed later. The screws loosened quickly after first use, so either plan on at least 2 screws, gluing, or using dowels to hold the handle system firmly in place. - Chelsea at The Freckled Plum https://www.instagram.com/the.freckled.plum/
