I am a mother of 3 and a proud wife to Brad. I currently live in Las Vegas and HATE it, so I say that I live in Pittsburgh PA (BEST place in the WORLD) but currently on a LONG vacation to Vegas. Me and my husband own a restaurant that we decided to double the size and add a dining room. Well looking for tables and booths for the dining room we could not find cheap ones, ones that would fit, or ones that we liked. So me the great adventurer that I am went to Home Depot and starting buying wood and tools. It has been a learning experience to say the least, but here were are a couple months later and the booths and tables are done and look GREAT if I do say so myself, and we are getting ready to open the expansion. Lucky for me I grew up with a dad who was very talented when it came to fixing or building things, so I always helped him and I must have picked up things through osmosis because I was able to build 11 tables and about 40 feet worth of booths, by myself as well as learning how to cut wood and put things together. The booths I designed myself but the tables are the ones that I got through Ana's book. Now that I am putting the finishing touches on the restaurant and I am already trying to figure out what I want to build next. Like I keep telling my husband I have been bit by the furniture bug. Well does anyone buy furniture when you can make it yourself? I love going to the store and come home with pieces or wood and/or sheets of plywood and watch how all of it comes together and make something to beautiful and to top it off you can customize it. Come on people how often does the furniture you buy in the store exactly fit where and what you have in mind for it? I love Ana's website and book, because she was like me now, just dug in and learned as she went (granted she was doing a house and I was doing a restaurant remodel). Her plans and the way she explains stuff make it so easy and fun. Ana Keep doing what you are doing because there are people like me who you helped and keep helping everyday.
