Shopping List
  • 1 - 1x4 @ 4 feet long
  • 1-1/4" brad nails
  • wood glue
  • letters (cut with cricut)
  • wood stain
Cut List
  • 1 - 1x4 @ 10" - bottom
  • 2 - 1x4 @ 3-1/2" - ends
  • 2 - 1x4 @ 11-1/2" - front and back
Cutting Instructions

The easiest way to cut is with a miter saw or chop saw.  

If you don't have a miter saw, you can cut with a circular saw or jigsaw.  Use a square to mark cuts before cutting and clamp the board to a stable surface on one end.

Instructions

Step 1

Attach the two end pieces to the bottom with glue and nails.

Step 2

Glue and nail the front and back to the sides.

Finishing Instructions
Preparation Instructions
Fill nail holes with a wood filler. Sand lightly with medium grit sandpaper.
Finish Used
Apply stain using a foam applicator brush. Wipe excess off with a paper towel.
Dispose of staining tools as recommended by the stain manufacturer.
