Looks like a retro tv but holds your ipad!  Easy to build from scrap wood.  Free tutorial by ANA-WHITE.com

This one is a must make.  If you know a kid with an ipad or tablet, you've got to build this tablet or ipad holder for them.

It is such an amazing project, I'm in the middle of making several as gifts, and my kiddos are carrying the prototype model around from room to room, because it's mini, it's adorable, it's retro, it's a toy, but it actually works like a real tv!

This tablet or ipad holder is the ninth free gift plan Jaime from That's My Letter and I have done for you guys this Handbuilt Holiday season!

You can check out all the plans in this collection here.  As we get closer to Christmas, we like to make the gifts easier/faster to build, with the holidays approaching so fast.

Tablet or iPad Holder

This ipad holder will take about half an hour to make.  It is very easy to build, and if you build at all, you may be able to make it entirely from scrap wood.  You can also easily adjust the size to fit any ipad or tablet.

You know what to do now - go check out Jaime from That's My Letter's build post, thank her for all her hard work, and then grab the free plans below.

Share if you build this iPad holder, would love to see how your's turns out too!

XO Ana

Instructions

Step 1

Attach 1x2 to bottom 1x6 spacing so iPad or tablet can fit between 1x2 and edge.  Also leave 3/4" gap on one side as shown.  Attach with glue and 1-1/4" nails.

Step 2

Repeat steps for the top, but attach 1x2 in mirror as shown in diagram.

Step 3

Attach side to the top and bottom with 1-1/4" nails and wood glue.

Step 4

Attach 1x4 to remaining side of ipad holder with 1-1/4" nails and wood glue.

Step 5

Step 6

I cut my dowel feet at 1-1/2" long and use 2" nails and glue to attach to the bottom of the ipad holder.  I cut the nobs from scrap 1x material with a hole saw kit, sanded and attached with 1-1/4" nails and wood glue.  The smaller knobs were dowel pieces.
