Here's a picture of my new dining room, featuring altered plans from the narrow farmhouse table and a matching bench. I added an extra 1x8 to the table top and also added some trim around the edges to make the top look chunkier. How did you do the edging? You say you "added" some, but inquiring minds want to know how.

The edging is just trim moulding I bought from Lowes. http://www.lowes.com/ProductDi.....;cId=PDIO1 it looks like this. I just tacked it on with brad nails.
It really made the table feel so much more substantial.
