DIY stacking rings hamburger toy made from scrap wood.

Hoping you and yours are enjoying a lovely Thanksgiving weekend!  It's Black Friday today, but you won't find a better deal than the ones you can DIY from scrap wood!

That's right - you can make this lovely, solid wood stacking rings hamburger toy for free!

As part of the Handbuilt Holiday series that Jaime from That's My Letter and I have been putting on for the past few years,

Where we bring you new, free gift plans every Friday in the week's leading up to Christmas, we are so delighted to be able to share this beautiful stacking rings hamburger toy, sure to delight toddlers and babies alike!

I love that this stacking rings hamburger toy is all scrap wood pieces.  I love that you can get as creative as you like with it too!

This one was designed and built entirely by Jaime from That's My Letter.  Here's Jaime's cut list for this project (all scrap wood woohoo!)

  • top bun: 2x6 @ 5” circle
  • bottom bun: 1x6 @ 5” circle
  • burger: 1x6 @ 5” circle
  • cheese, onion, bacon, lettuce: 1/4” plywood
  • tomatoes, mushroom: 1/2” mdf

Make sure you head on over to That's My Letter for more details on painting and how she got those buns rounded out.

Have an amazing weekend!

XO Ana
