Brooke started by staining the top with two coats of Rustoleum Ultimate Stain in Golden Oak. She also stained one coat inside the toybox.
She then painted the bottom part with two coats of Olympic No-VOC Ultimate Interior Paint in Semigloss.
Brooke wanted to soften up the bright white, but only subtly and wanted to keep the white nice and crisp. But she thought this was a little too crisp for her liking.
Brooke then sanded the edges of the false drawer fronts with sandpaper to expose edges.
She also sanded the legs and side trim.
Then she brewed a super strong cup of coffee.
Feel free to brew yourself a cup too!
And then she applied the coffee to the coffee table with a brush. This slightly aged the bright white.
She then applied the coffee to sanded edges with a foam brush for deeper saturation.
And wiped the coffee clean. She then sprayed the coffee table with two coats of polycrylic.
