The Design: Tiny House Build [Episode 1]

Hi everyone!  I can't even tell you how excited we are about this Tiny House and the design!  It's simple, with just the right amount of convertible function to be comfortable.  We will be doing the Tiny House as a video series, so make sure you subscribe so you don't miss a video.

Love the house design but I do have 2 questions. First what is the plan for the bathroom? Didn't see any plans for that. Will you have a portable outhouse or is this used for a park where they will have facilitys? Also Will this intended for travel? Just curious because of the deck. You talked about it like you will use when travel but I wonder how that would work.

Hi, thank you!  

For bathroom, we would have to have a facility for everyone working on the project, as we plan to use the tiny house as temporary living while working on remote projects.  And maybe a little fun too.  This could mean any of the options you suggested.

 

No, the intent is not for travel.  We intend to park it at locations where we will be working, work on those projects, and then move to the next job site.  This would mean one or two moves a year, not constant traveling.

So glad you are tackling one of these. No criticism intended, but I was going to ask about a bathroom as well. Also, I dont see any storage at all for clothing? Can't wait to see it all come to fruition.

Hello!  I have been following your projects since 2012.  I have some plans for building a tiny house but I do not  like them.  I like your houses and plans better.  I was only able to get one downloaded though.  It downloaded as a pdf.  I have downloaded sketchup.  Can I use your pdf's to make modifications with sketchup?  I have a 16' trailer so I need to modify your 20' plans.  How can I get all three of your plans in sketchup?  I am not exactly sure which roof style I want to attempt yet.  I am getting ready to start it this week.
