- 1/4" plywood, at least 9-5/8" x 24" (best if plywood species matches drawer interior bottom)
- 1 - 2x2 @ 4 feet long (hardwood preferred, but can use softwood 2x2s)
- 1 - 1x2 @ 20"
- 3/4" and 1-1/4" brad nails
- quick dry or hot glue suitable for wood
Cut List
1 - 1/4" plywood @ 9-5/8" x 24" (can be cut to fit the depth of drawer right now too)
6 - 2x2 @ 7-7/8"
2 - 1x2 @ 9-5/8"

That's wonderful! You can put steak knives on top by adding a second layer pushed farther back and flipped. I did this for a similar knife block recently. https://i.imgur.com/i44DQ4I.jpg
