This is my version of Collapsible Standing Christmas Tree Shelf! I started the project and my old 10 inch miter saw was not up to the task. My son said "dad I think you need a new saw". He was right, we got a new 12 in compound sliding miter saw and we were able to complete the tree. We used all 1x6 lumber and we put the back on the bottom of each tier. The base is 3 scrap 2x4 pieces on end and screwed together. It's painted with green paint I found in the clearance section and we diluted it about 4:1 so the grain would show through and it would look more rustic. - Jon Bourgeois and Son Ben Bourgeois
