I recently purchased my first home. Once I started looking for furniture, I was shocked at how expensive things were for the quality. Ever since then, when possible, I try to make a DIY version. With a small budget, I've been able to get some great pieces by doing it myself. I have no woodworking experience outside of 8th grade shop. I really enjoy something about the process of creating something yourself. Outside of my day job I have a hobby blog that I use to chronicle my adventures in cooking and DIY projects.
