How to Build this Linear Bud Vase Holder

This project is easy to build -

Cut the fence pickets with either a jigsaw, circular saw or a miter saw according to the cut list.  You can prestain the boards now, or finish later.

Drill holes using a Forstner Bit for the florals to pass through

Nail or staple the top to the two sides

Nail or staple the bottom shelf to the sides.

Preparation

Shopping List

3 Vase Holder 

  • 1 Cedar Fence Picket 6'
  • 1 1/5" forstner bit or hole saw
  • 1-1/4" brad nails
  • wood glue 
  • Top board is 15"
  • Bottom board 14" (leave bottom board flush to bottom or I put 1/2" spacers under to raise up a bit)
  • Side boards are 8" (adjust depending on jar or vase height)
  • Center of holes marked at 4"  and 7-1/2" and 11"

Small Single Vase Holder 

  • Top is "7"
  • Bottom is 6"
  • Sides are 8"
  • Hole marked in center of top board
Cut List

3 Vase Holder - cut from fence picket 

  • Top board is 15"
  • Bottom board 14" (leave bottom board flush to bottom or I put 1/2" spacers under to raise up a bit) - adjust if your boards are not 1/2" thick
  • Side boards are 8" (adjust depending on jar or vase height)

Small Single Vase Holder  - cut from fence picket

  • Top is "7"
  • Bottom is 6" - adjust if your boards are not 1/2" thick
  • Sides are 8"

Instructions

Step 1

Drill holes in the top board using a Forstner bit.

Attach top to sides using brad nails and glue.
