I have been in love with this piece for a long time now. It would work so well in my girls small room. It looks to be a quick project just no idea where to start. No way I can pay the $599.99 their asking!!! http://www.pbteen.com/search/r.....e%20mirror

My take on it is that you would just build a tall narrow bookcase, and put some kind of lazy susan hardware on the bottom. Maybe like this?

What if you modified Ana's wire basket bath storage tower and doubled the height (just add three solid sides to it) or used her 5 Cube Tower Bookshelf? And like Nat's Mom said, just add the lazy susan hardware to a base?

You would have to reinforce the bottom shelf of the 5 Cube Tower before you set it up on a lazy susan. In the original 5 Cube tower, the load of each shelf is transferred to the sidewalls and legs to the floor. If you put it on the lazy susan, the joint between the botton shelf and the sides would have to support the entire structure, instead of just the weight of whatever is placed on the shelf.

Make the bottom shelf larger as a base, using doubled squares of 3/4 plywood, and attach the sides and back ON the base so that the base is carrying all the weight, and there are no joins to worry about.
