Hi Ana,
I've been loving your site(s) for a few years, but finally decided to become a member because of this one piece of furniture I just had to request. I just moved a few months ago, and even though my new home has no built-ins, less wall space, and fewer square feet, my boyfriend really wants to add a dedicated bar area to the house. After looking at all of my favorite furniture sites, I found something perfect (two things, actually). Both are at Pottery Barn, and either one would require me to go back into credit card debt with good old PB if I were to purchase. Then I started looking at all of the pictures on the PB website to try to figure out if I could make my own. The thing is, I think it's possible to make either one, but I sure could use a professional opinion on exactly how.
The first piece is the Pottery Barn Modine Bar:

The second is the Pottery Barn Randolf Bar:

My experience level is low, but my enthusiasm is high! This weekend will be my first full-scale, start-to-finish furniture project. My boyfriend and I will be making some version of storage bed base to slide under our giant space-wasting king size bed. Should be a pretty special experience. I'll try to remember to take pictures, and maybe even post if it comes out presentable.
Yours truly,
Amy

I have to second this. I would love insturction for a bar. I like the second pottery barn bar you shared. I have also had my eye on this one from world market: http://www.worldmarket.com/pro.....Id=3910254
