First of all, I love this site! So many wonderful projects! So, when my hubby gave me the green light to use the Home Depot card, I thought, "Now it's time to build a mantel -- let's check out Ana-White.com!" Only to find no plans for a mantel. Sad! :(
I saw the plans for the faux fireplace, but we have a brick fireplace already. Any thoughts/ideas for putting a ledge-type mantel over the fireplace? Some tips on drilling into brick? I hate the pre-fab mantels at HD. Plus, they're an arm and a leg -- literally! I'd love to have something up before November and the beginning of holiday season. And our stockings deserve a better display location than the side of our dining room table. ;)
