I have a friend who just moved into a new house. There's an old dishwasher in her kitchen but she has no use for it and wants to remove it. In its place, she would like 3 drawers. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to retrofit drawers into a dishwasher space? I would guess that the dishwasher was an add on. At one time, I believe the space was a lower cabinet. The cabinet was removed to fit a dishwasher and unequal filler boards were positioned. Any ideas would be appreciated...

replace dishwasher
Measure the dishwasher hole (side to side)
and build a cabinet to fit.

you can modify the plans with an extra shelf, bigger doors, or even add drawers...
